Started in 2008, Mahesh Bhupathi Team Tennis academies is a combination of the country’s widest sport coaching system with one of the most legendary names in Indian tennis, Mahesh Bhupathi.

Bhupathi launched the Mahesh Bhupathi Tennis Academies (MBTA) in 2006, with an aim to professionalize tennis coaching in the country. With 6 academies in India and another 5 in the middle East, Bhupathi ensured that besides his own stamp of perfection, MBTA stood out as a beacon of sporting excellence and training in the game of Tennis.

TEAM Tennis academies, started by Jaideep Bhatia, Aditya Sachdeva and Sanjay Minotra in 2003 are undoubtedly the pioneers of tennis academies in the country. With humble beginnings at a tennis court in Friend’s Club in Delhi, TEAM Tennis grew into the widest network of academies across any sport in the country. Although the sole purpose of the venture was to popularize the game for its fitness and fun quotient, TEAM Tennis has produced some phenomenal talent including Junior Australian Open winner Yuki Bhambri who still is coached by TEAM Tennis Director – Coaching, Aditya Sachdeva.

In 2008, the two giants of the tennis academy world decided to join forces and combine their strengths to create the largest sporting coaching system in India. The result was the birth of MBTT Academies which is now a name synonymous to tennis coaching in the country.
